Tovil Parish Council was formed in 1987 and has been active since that time. The Parish Office is located at Tovil Community Centre, Barfreston Close, Tovil and is open to the public via appointment only.
Parish Council Meetings are held monthly on the second Monday of every month, at 6.30pm in the YMCA Community Centre unless the Centre is unavailable then alternatively the meeting will be held at Tovil Working Man’s Club. During the monthly Full Council Meeting there is a public forum, members of the public have three minutes to address the Council during the public forum and raise any matters they feel need to be brought to their attention. Committee Meetings will be held on the 4th Monday of the month 6pm at The Barn, Hayle Park Nature Reserve. If a member of the public has attended because they have an interest in a particular agenda item, the Chairman of the Council or the Committee can invite them to speak (detailed in our Standing Orders and Public Engagement Policy) prior to the item being discussed.
The office opening hours are as follows, term time only.
Monday 11am – 1pm
Wednesday 11am – 1pm
The Parish Office will be open to members of the public and Councillors during these hours. If you need to speak to a member of staff outside these hours, then please book an appointment by emailing one of the addresses below or call the office number.
